My Notes:
It had been seven days living in the ‘Rising Sun’ country. I felt it was like leaving Malaysia yesterday. The warmth of convocation memory was hardly forgotten. In these few days, most of my time spent with orientation and registration matters. Even it looked tiring but actually I met new precious experiences and wonderful friends. I’m really lucky having three Japanese and seven international friends recently. They came from Indonesia, Mexico, Korea, China, Belgium, India and Vietnam with several of study level. There are some of Malaysian students too.
In Japanese culture, the orientation ceremonies and welcoming parties are crucial and must events for every new intake semester. Their hospitality indeed amazed me. Greetings with nice words of “Yokoso” and “Konnichiwa” extended with serving ‘ocha’ or tea as well as charming smiles feeling me honored. It might be surprise if I would say it had been six welcoming ceremonies! So, everybody here got exchanged many name cards or ‘meishi’ with others.
Today’s entry actually recorded on what I did during the first weekend in Japan. In summary, it was really have a pleasure time of the 101010 day. I got went to Osaka City. Boarding a Hankyu Line train from Minami Senri to Umeda station took around 30 minutes to arrive at Osaka City. From there, I spent my time visiting the Osaka Castle at Osaka Jo Koen, JR station. Surrounding by lake garden, this palace is the most popular location among Japanese during weekend. Historically, this castle recorded as the first Japanese Emperor’s building. Then, I spent time at Yodobashi Mall for grabbing some electrical appliances. All in all, I left these great moments with a lot of photos here.
P/s: Thank you, Syam and other new Malaysian friends for spending time with me at OsakaJ
